Power in the WORD
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. John 1:1-2 (NIV)
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 (NIV)
The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17
Power in the Pen
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 (NIV)
It is easy to forget the truths God reveals; that is why it is so important to write down what He reveals to you during your time with Him in the Word. Perhaps choose one day every week or 2 weeks as a reflection day. Look back through your notes, notice the themes, praise God for what He is revealing and ask Him to hide those truths in your heart.
Give yourself Grace… He does.
If you skip a day… that’s okay! Don’t beat yourself up. It if seems like a lot of reading consider reading only the New or the Old Testament. Main objective: Are you connecting with Him?
“but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:42 (NIV)
